Hyatt Centric and its sister property the Turing Locke, Cambridge have recently opened a new coffee shop Brew Eddington. Keeping up with the properties’ sustainability credentials the team not only have their own roastery on site, but they source their own beans directly from the farmers in Guatemala. The coffee bar is already proving a very popular place to relax and offers co-working space. Residents of the Hyatt and Turing Locke can get a grab and go breakfast from the coffee bar and a lunch box. All cakes and food are locally sourced. The Dutch, the hotels’ bar have also increased their food offering, and now offer hot food from 5pm – 10pm in the evening.
The hotels are making the most of their outside space and have put together a programme of events using the Courtyard and the Roof Terrace. You can now join a “sip and sketch” (drawing with a glass of fizz or pot of tea) or “power yoga” class. They will have an outdoor cinema, with your own personal headphones. The Dutch is offering Mezcal Tasting. Although these classes are open to all, it is possible to organise a private session for groups. Just let us know.
