As a significant player in the corporate travel and event industry and as a part of our commitment to continually expanding our collective knowledge of the world’s best venues, hotels and destinations we regularly attend international travel events around the world.
In Summer 2016 it was my turn and the destination was the private MICE Forum in the magnificent Forte Village Resort in Sardinia. During a hectic 3-day schedule, not only did I have the opportunity to experience first-hand the stunning resort, the island’s famous cuisine and some beautiful scenery, but 2 full days of one to one meetings with suppliers from around the world.
Sardinia and the Forte Village Resort were the perfect hosts for this event. Transfer times from the UK were a 2-hour flight, then a 40 minute car journey to the resort. The resort is a collection of eight 5-star hotels, with: 755 bedrooms; a spa; its own beach; on site activities including sports, tennis, motorised vehicles and golf; and numerous restaurants. It has large meeting spaces and exhibition space.
The Forums provide us with some of the best opportunities we get to see what is happening in the meeting, incentive, conference and event industry.
