We are always complaining about the lack of conference space in Cambridge. Now there is a new venue that is available all year round; not just during university holidays.
Robinson College have always been one of the colleges that work with the corporate market throughout the year. They have recently added to their space with the addition of the Crausaz Wordsworth Building. A pleasant stroll through the college’s gardens the new building is completely separate from the main college. It has been designed with loads of natural daylight and breakout space.
The main plenary room on the ground floor has access to the terrace and a large foyer area. The room can hold up to 96 cabaret style and 100 for dinner. It has built in AV including a high definition DLP Laser projector and DNP SuperNova Infinity screen providing excellent image quality from any position within the room.
On the first floor there is a room that can be split into three breakout rooms for downstairs. Each room on the first floor holds 18 cabaret or 16 classroom; the room as a whole can hold 60 cabaret, 72 classroom or 38 U-shape.
The Foyer downstairs can be used for exhibitions, tea/coffee breaks and even as team building/breakout space.
Initially the building was designed to be hired on a sole use basis, but the college will now let the two floors separately.
The Crausaz Wordsworth Building can be used on its own or in conjunction with the colleges other 19 conference rooms. Accommodation in student blocks is available during vacation time.
The college is on the edge of the city centre and a short stroll from the Backs area of Cambridge.
