A New Look for Wyboston Lakes

Wyboston Lakes Resort is a unique destination close to St Neots, about 45 minutes from Cambridge.

As its name suggests the resort is set amongst a series of lakes.  One is a Nature Reserve and one is used for water based team building activities.

The site consists of 3 separate Venues and event spaces, an 18 hole golf, Spa and a leisure centre with gym and pool.

The Waterfront Hotel and Spa

Formerly a training centre the Waterfront Hotel has been transformed into a 4 star hotel.  This is also where the luxurious Y Spa is situated.  With a large outdoor hydrotherapy pool, saunas and two steam rooms the spa also offers a choice of chill out and relaxation areas.  Treatments are available from the therapy team.

The hotel has two restaurants; The Waterfront Brasserie which is open for lunch and dinner and The Fountains which is used for breakfast.  The Fountains Suite, along with the Kingfisher and Lakeview Suites are all available for private dining.

The hotel has 103 en suite bedroom, arranged in two separate blocks.

The Woodlands Event Centre

Previously known as the Executive Centre, The Woodlands Event Centre is nearing the end of a total refurbishment.  The centre is now rated as 4 star.  All the meeting space has been completely refurbished.  A few walls have even been removed to make even more versatile spaces.

The main room, The Rosewood, can hold up 620 theatre style, but can split into 3.

The Yew Technology Theatre has tiered seating for 42, with built in tables.  The Yew can be used for a meeting and seminars, but also as a “cinema room” for residential groups.  The centre has a Netflix account that can be used to show films in the evening, or you can play your own DVDs.

There are 6 further rooms; 2 of which can be split in two.  They range in capacity from 110 theatre style to 30 theatre style.

All the rooms have state of the art technology, including electronic white boards and built in projectors and screens.  The centre has permanent staff on site to help with AV.

There are a number of informal breakout spaces, all equipped with power points and tables.  The Apple Lounge is set up with informal seating, ideal for a more relaxed breakout space or meeting.

Tea/coffee is provided by Paddy & Scott’s and is free of charge.  Tea/coffee stations are dotted around the centre; there are even 2 mobile Tuk tuks!  The main coffee house, close to reception, also has all day snacks including sandwiches and salads, which are all included in the Day Delegate Rate.

The main delegate lunch is served in the Olive Restaurant, which is still going through its refurbishment and when opened will serve street style food all from the Mediterranean.

The Willows Training Centre

The Willows training centre is 3 star and has 183 bedrooms and 23 training and syndicate rooms.  It is ideal for the more budget conscious.  It still offers the dedicated meeting and event space with great AV.  The décor is more in line with a training centre, with simple no frills rooms.  The main room the Willows Conference Room can hold up to 260 theatre style.  Also in this area is the Oakley Training Suite that is self contained holding 110 theatre style with a further 17 rooms.

The Willows Restaurant and Bar offers an informal environment and serves the 2 course buffet that is included in the Day Delegate Rate.  In the evening the dinner service is tailored to your requirements and can offer a traditional 2 course menu or buffet service

The site really does have very versatile space that will suite most styles and budgets.  With the spa, leisure centre, golf course and land and water based team building Wyboston can offer a variety of enhancements to the delegate experience.
