Recently I visited a new venue, that opened in May last year, in London – Convene at 22 Bishopsgate.
Convene has just take over Etc Venues, who have a number of locations in the UK: 6 in City of London, 3 on London’s Southbank, 2 in central London, 1 in Manchester and 1 in Birmingham. Etc Venues also have 3 properties in New York. Now combine with Convene the group have more locations in the USA: Boston, Philadelphia, San Francisco, New York, Chicago and Washington.
Convene at 22 Bishopsgate is a self-contained meeting space with 10 meeting rooms. The maximum capacity of the largest room is 406 theatre style – Bishopsgate Forum. On the same floor are the Leadenhall Hub that can hold 233 theatre style and the Threadneedle Hub that can hold 186 theatre style. The rooms are all linked by Gallery Spaces, ideal for catering and exhibition. On the fourth floor you will find the Moorgate Hub that holds 233 theatre style and the Gracechurch Hub that holds 186 theatre style, again there are gallery spaces for catering and exhibition. Also on the fourth floor is the members only area that provides shared working spaces and small boardrooms.
Etc Venues and Convene both have their own inhouse virtual events support. They are able to link their venues globally, so are ideally if you want to run an event in the US and UK at the same time, sharing speakers virtually!
