We have lots of contacts at hotels, venues and destination management companies all over the world. During the pandemic we have kept in touch with all our contacts, making sure our knowledge is up to date. By attending webinars, virtual networking events, virtual fam trips and show rounds we are on top of what is happening overseas so we are ready to help our clients as soon as they are ready to get going again.
Holding overseas events and travelling abroad may seem a long way off and of course meetings and events will be different to start with but with careful planning, face to face can happen again safely. Meetings will likely be smaller but may need a virtual element and more space so that guidelines are followed. It could be that instead of a large conference where lots of delegates fly in, you instead decide to run a few smaller meetings in key countries and link them virtually. You could have speakers attend their nearest event and then just broadcast to the other destinations.
If you normally go for a city centre destination, you may think a countryside venue or hotel with outside space may work better to ensure an easier way of networking.
Countries in Europe will open differently so there may be an opportunity to try a new destination that you haven’t previously considered.
