Exclusive Use Retreats

As testing is rolled out to the community and more people are vaccinated, we will be able to meet indoors.  If you want a controlled environment, then there are a number of great hotels that are small enough to allow you to take them over exclusively. Currently hotels are allowed to reopen for non-essential travel from the 17th May.

HotelRes work with a number of hotels throughout the UK that will allow a company exclusive use of the whole hotel or a private wing. Below are just a few examples that are close to our offices in Cambridge.

Poets House, Ely

Poets House in the cathedral city of Ely, has 21 bedrooms and meeting rooms offering space for a team of 21 to meet and split into groups.  The hotel also has a relaxing bar and restaurant serving locally sourced food.  The courtyard is ideal for outdoor breaks and even BBQs when the weather allows.  The city of Ely with its Norman cathedral is a great place for the team to explore, there are riverside walks and Oliver Cromwell’s House as well as the famous Eel Trail.

The Lodge, Duxford

For smaller teams the Lodge at Duxford has 16 bedrooms and meeting space for 16. The Lodge is in the village of Duxford, just off the M11.  The boutique hotel is set in its own grounds, with space for a BBQ and outside games. The hotel has teamed up with Outtrain to offer some great physical team challenges.  The challenges are designed to be outside and use the grounds and surrounding countryside.  The Imperial War Museum is a short drive and the village itself boasts a church with Medieval wall art.  Set in the countryside there lots of great public footpaths for the team to explore.

Larger Teams

For larger teams there are a number of country houses throughout the UK that would be suitable. Some of the larger hotels have wings or areas of the hotel that have self-contained conference and accommodation space.  Down Hall has a wing of accommodation and meeting rooms that can also be booked with its own outside space.  Hanbury Manor has a meeting room in its own walled garden.  Making it perfect for self-contained day meetings followed by a summer party.

As soon as business meetings are allowed there will be a big rush to book space.  If you book now you will have a greater choice and venues are still being flexible with their cancellation policies.  Just get in touch and we can look at options for you.
