We recently saw our Hilton UK rep who gave us a whistle stop tour of the UK, and explained what is new with Hilton and all their brands. We also had presentations from Hilton Croydon, Hilton Canary Wharf, Hilton Reading and Hilton Cobham.
Here is just a quick snapshot of what is happening in the UK world of Hilton.
Hilton Wokingham
A new hotel that is due to open in July 2024. It will have 189 bedrooms, and Its 11 meeting rooms can accommodate up to 540 theatre style in the largest.
Hilton Birmingham Metropole
Situated next to the NEC and Birmingham Airport, the Metropole is one of the country’s largest hotels outside London and has recently gone through a complete refurbishment. It has 793 bedrooms and the largest meeting room can hold up to 2000 theatre style. It also has a further 32 meeting rooms of various sizes.
Doubletree Brighton Metropole
This hotel is situated on the seafront and has recently undergone several refurbishment projects. Like the other Metropoles, in Birmingham and London, it is a large hotel. It has 340 bedrooms with 33 meeting rooms and the largest meeting room can hold 1500 theatre style.
Hilton Reading
This hotel has recently had a partial refurbishment – including the restaurant. It has 210 bedrooms. The largest of its 11 meeting rooms holds up to 500 theatre style.
Hilton Cobham
The Hilton Cobham is just off the M25 and is just 20 minutes by train from Heathrow Airport.
This hotel has also recently gone through a partial refurbishment. Originally a manor house, the Hilton Cobham is set in extensive grounds which are perfect for team building. The hotel has 158 bedrooms and the largest of the 13 meeting rooms holds up to 300 theatre style.
Hilton Croydon
Yet another Hilton Hotel to have recently had a partial refurbishment, The Hilton Croydon specialises in well being, and offers guests the opportunity to purchase “wellness packages” to use during their stay. The hotel provides a number of accessories including yoga mats and balls, herbal teas and relaxing aromatherapy candles. The hotel has 168 bedrooms and It has 15 meeting rooms – the largest holding 400 theatre style.
Hilton Canary Wharf
Located directly in the heart of Canary Wharf, the hotel has 282 bedrooms and 10 meeting rooms – the largest of which holds 380 theatre style.
Hilton is an expanding chain, with a number of different brands: Hampton by Hilton, Garden Inns, Hilton, Doubletree, Curio, Waldorf Astoria, Conrad and Canopy can all be found in the UK.
