We work with a number of larger private high cottages. Here I want to focus on just one site in Derbyshire. Knockerdown Cottages have the capacity to host 30-40 delegates in their own bedrooms.
The site is set on the cusp of the Peak District National Park, which offers stunning countryside for your delegates to explore. Knockerdown Cottages are located close to Ashbourne in Derbyshire, so very centrally located in the UK. Derby train station is 30 minutes away and East Midlands airport is 40 minutes away.
The Cottages
There are 16 individually styled cottages. The site has 42 bedrooms and 31 bathrooms. So 31 delegates can be accommodated if they all want their own bathroom. If guests are willing to share a bathroom then that number can increase to 42.
You can hire just a cottage, or multiple cottages or the entire site depending on your numbers.
Cottages are all self catering, but when our client stayed they chose to have a chef come in and cook dinner for them and they made their own breakfasts and lunch.
Meeting Space
There is a meeting room/communal social space the Brackendale Room. This space can hold up to 100 people and has a fully equipped kitchen – so if you choose to bring in a caterer they can use this space too. The Carsington Room can hold 16 people and is normally used as a private entertainment space as it is attached to a Games Room. The Games Room can comfortably hold 30 people and has table football, a pool table and a table tennis table. You can use the communal lounges and kitchens in each of the cottages as informal breakout spaces.
In addition to the Games Room the site also has an indoor swimming pool and outdoor games that are available to guests.
