At HotelRes we are proud to be specialists in our particular area of the Events industry – venue finding. We make it our business to know all about venues, so we can match your requirements with the perfect venue. But along the way we have met and worked alongside a number of other specialists in the events sector. In this article I want to introduce you to just a few – hopefully they may give you some ideas. If you want a more formal introduction – in case they can be of use just let us know.
Camilla Sheeley at Glowments Wellness
We met Camilla at Down Hall Hotel. We were lucky enough to be invited to a wellness retreat and many of the “activities” were facilitated by Camilla. Activities included: Crystal Workshop, Yoga, a Sound Bath and a Breathwork Class.
Camilla delivered each class so even the most skeptical or novices amongst us ended up gaining something positive from our time. Even if it was just allowing everyone time to relax and think.
Camilla is an accredited Life Coach, PT, Yoga teacher, Sound Healer, Breathwork Practitioner and Crystals Therapist. She started life in the corporate world in the field of Economics and Marketing, working as a Marketing Director for many well known brands before switching to working full time in the Wellness sector. She is able to put together your own corporate wellness retreat, or simply attend as a speaker talking about: Wellness in the Workplace – Beat Burnout!; Creating an Effective Mindset; Navigating Nutirion; Personality Insights for Game, Set, Match Mentality. For team building she can of course run individual sessions that include: Yoga, Breathwork, Personality Profiling, Crystal Workshops, Walks and Talks – Back to Nature, Tapping – Tap Away Stresses and Strains, Food Glorious Food – Tasty Waisty Choices.
If you want to create a conference around wellness then Camilla is your lady.

EC Events Ltd
We always remain on hand to help, but we do not offer event management, legal/contract help or on site support. BUT we do know a number of excellent teams who can help if you need an extra person or people to help make sure your event runs smoothly. EC Events are just one company we can put you in touch with.
Emily Wilcockson, owner of EC Events, is based in the London and home counties area and offers clients a complete event management service. EC Events work with clients from the event planning stage (using HotelRes to find the venue) right through to being there on the day to ensure the events smooth running. Emily can come and work in your offices and work as a Freelance Event Manager, or work remotely and just offer the additional person power on the day.
EC Events specialise in putting together incentive trips, but are equally at home organising gala dinners, product launches and large conferences. They can manage the entire event for budgeting and planning to post event feedback.
If you need an extra manager for a big project and you think Emily may be able to help, just let us know and we will arrange an introduction.
Facet 5
Facet 5 is a company who specialise in personality profiling. They can come into a company and work with you to help everyone understand each others strengths and the teams weaknesses. They can help you create the perfect profile for the next member of your team. But they can also run team building and away days for you.
Here is a little bit from their team building profile.
When planning team-building away days, traditional activities like paintballing or obstacle courses often come to mind. These events can be fun and engaging, but are they really addressing the underlying dynamics that drive team success? While such activities encourage camaraderie, they often fall short when it comes to fostering deeper, long-lasting improvements in team performance and communication.
Facet5 is a scientifically-grounded personality assessment tool that offers a more impactful approach to team building. By focusing on understanding individual personalities and how they influence team interactions, Facet5 helps create a truly tailored teaming experience that delivers lasting results.
Facet5 team building offers:
Deeper Insights into Team Dynamics
Facet5 provides detailed insights into each team member’s personality traits across five key dimensions: Will, Energy, Affection, Control, and Emotionality. By understanding these traits, team members can recognize their own strengths and areas for development, while learning how to better communicate and collaborate with others.
Tailored and Practical Applications
With Facet5, each teaming day is tailored specifically to the needs of your team. Facet5 assessments help create personalised activities that address specific issues—whether it’s enhancing communication, building trust, or improving decision-making.
Sustainable Team Growth
Facet5’s insights provide a framework for sustained team development. By understanding the unique personalities within the group, leaders can foster stronger, more cohesive teams, and help individuals better appreciate their roles and contributions. The result? A team that functions at a higher level, long after the away day is over.
Improved Conflict Resolution
Every team faces conflict, Facet5 enables team members to understand how personality differences can lead to friction and provides strategies to manage and resolve conflict effectively. By learning to appreciate and leverage individual differences, teams can turn potential points of conflict into opportunities for growth and innovation.
Enhancing Leadership and Team Communication
The Facet5 assessment highlights leadership styles and how different personalities respond to them. This is invaluable for team leaders looking to tailor their management style to better suit the needs of the team. Additionally, team members gain a clearer understanding of how their colleagues prefer to communicate and make decisions, improving overall collaboration and efficiency.
If you are interested in learning a bit more about how Facet5 can work with you and your team then just let us know and we will put you in touch with them.
These are just a few of the many event specialists we have met or have worked with, we are always happy to offer advice if you are looking for additional support or specialist people to enhance your event.
